Kelvin Parker, Field Coordinator, Center of Excellence for Health Disparities Research at GSU

Kelvin Parker has been in the field of research since 1996, beginning his work at Emory University. He has worked for Georgia State University since 2008 as a Research Interviewer, Recruiter and now Field Supervisor for various projects. He served as the Field Coordinator for Community Connections, a Bureau of Justice Affairs-sponsored intervention; this intervention was designed to provide HIV positive persons released from Georgia prisons and returning to the Atlanta metropolitan area with Peer Guides and supplemental case management for a year. Kelvin is also a Certified Counselor in anger management and conflict resolution, and is well known as a recruiting and retention expert.
